With production rates of 40 to 50 tons per hour through a 5/8" screen, the RG-1 reliably delivers a uniformly ground product ideal for hot mix asphalt supplement and other recycling opportunities. Its throughput rates are made possible by unique infeed, rotor, and screen configurations. A load leveler and a high torque agitator prevent bridging and maintain a consistent flow of material toward the rotor. A rotating anvil (patent pending) forces the feed material into the rotor at a controlled rate for accurate sizing and reduced wear. The continuous movement of this rotating anvil increases the wear surface where this initial breakdown takes place, allowing heat to disperse and reducing the material buildup that might otherwise prevent active grinding.

With two radial cut AR35 screens wrapping 270 degrees around the rotor, material can escape the grinding chamber quickly, reducing wear and heat. A spray bar injects precise amounts of water directly into the grinding chamber for cooling, lubrication, and dust suppression. These features result in more production, more horespower efficiency, less wear, and less operational maintenance.

Like every machine in our product line, the RG-1 was designed and developed through attention to customer needs. The RG-1 is easy to operate, with integrated PLC controls, a low load height, and automatic load regulated feed rates. The screens can be accessed and changed quickly and easily through two access doors that open at the ground level. The high wear cast carbide teeth have two useable faces. A complete set of 38 can be reversed or replaced in one hour by one person.

RG-1 is fully mobile and can be set up in minutes. It is available in diesel or electric configurations, ranging from 400 to 630 horsepower. And its performance is not limited to shingles. Because of its unique design, the RG-1 is also ideally suited for regrind and refinement of biofuel from wood, corn, and many other biomass materials.
